March 1, 11:00 p.m., mark

Hi everyone,

Just a quick note to let you all know that, medically, it was a good day, as Joe continued to show progress in his cognitive awareness and responsiveness.

Plans are still being finalized for the move to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta. There were a few bureaucratic/procedural hold-ups in getting signatures and paperwork in order, as it proved to be a very busy day for the trauma wing at Huntsville Hospital.

At any rate, the best guess now for the move date MAY be Thursday, or perhaps Wednesday at the earliest. We'll keep you informed as best we can, but did want to let folks know that there were no significant medical setbacks to be concerned about.

Thank you again for all your interest, support, and prayers. Good night.

  1. I wanted you to know that the students in each of my classes have been praying for Mr. Leahy by name every day. This blog site has been a blessing, partly because I've been able to share with the students Joe's steady progress, attributable to the power of so many prayers. More than that, however, the blog has been a testimony to the faith, hope, and love that ground a good family. That fact has been an inspiration and an important testimony. I realize how time-consuming maintaining a blog site can be, so I appreciate your commitment and want to say thank you. Know that our prayers for Joe and you all are unceasing. --Lorrie Pepper

  2. Thank you so much for continuing to update the blog. For all those praying for Joe (and your family), it helps us to know what to pray for, and it gives us encouragement to hear of Joe's incredible progress! This morning my Bible study prayed for all of you and we will continue to do so.

Please be considerate in all comments as families of the victims will see this.
