March 16, 9:00, mark

Just another short posting tonight. Ginny reports that Joe had a busy, but relatively uneventful, day of therapy and rehabilitation. He continues to make impressive strides in the physical workouts, while the mental sharpness and focus comes and goes. I'm looking forward to getting to Atlanta tomorrow to see Joe in person, for the first time since the shooting. Hope I can at least force Ginny to get more sleep -- if my students are any indication, I expect she'll drift right off when I start talking.

Anyway, thanks to all of you for your ongoing support. Lisa or I will post more tomorrow or Thursday.

Charge on.

  1. Grateful for another update Mark. One thing is certain-you'll make Ginny laugh and that's a great healer. Safe travels.

  2. Thank you so much for continuing to keep us all updated on Joe's progress!! The whole family has been in my prayers, and I will continue to keep them all in my prayers. Ginny and I worked for the same firm for a number of years; I was in the Athens office though. She was absolutely one of the nicest and warmest people I have ever met, and I hope she is taking care of herself through all of this. Again, thank you so much for keeping all of us in the Valley updated.

  4. Thanks for this page and the updates. I had Dr. Leahy for Microbiology at UAH and I've always considered him one of my favorites. If he ever had a bad day he certainly never let it show. That positive attitude made him an excellent teacher and I would imagine it's a large part of his recovery as well. I'm so happy to hear of his progress.
