Brief medical update and correction, Friday 10:15 a.m.

Joe had a good night. The medical staff were pleased with his consistent responses to commands all through the night.

Hard as it is to believe, it turns out that I made an error in last night's post. The civic official that visited Joe was the former Mayor of Huntsville, Loretta Spencer, rather than the current one, as I mistakenly reported. My bad.

More later today, probably.

Love and thanks to all.

  2. Thank God Joe is doing well. His repsonsiveness to commands is very encouraging as well as his ability to be fed. It sounds as though he is receiving excellent medical care.
Hopefully the surgery to repair the Facial Bones can be done sooner, rather than later to have the best possible outcome. Will the surgery be a "combo surgery" involving more then one discipline?
We pray daily for Joe and all of the people affected by this senseless tragedy.
P.S. Joe always has good taste in music. I hope he is getting to listen to some good tunes in his "Astronaut" bed.

  3. I met some of Ginny & Joe's amazing family today. They are both so fortunate to have supportive, loving family (all from out of state)with them during this difficult time.
Our love & prayers are with all of them.

  6. It is so encouraging to hear of Joe's recovery to be going in the right direction. We will continue to keep everyone in our prayers. If anyone knows of how the other two injured are doing, please give updates as we are praying for their recovery also. Ginny, you, Joe, and the boys are in our thoughts daily.
